hi, I got a flowehorn 10 days ago.. the first few days he was a bit scared but he came around after 4 days.. now he doesn’t hide and follows my finger and eats the pellets I feed him. He does get stressed sometimes when we go too close to the tank but only for a while, he changes his color back to normal after that.. a few days back his fins seemed to look like they are transparent.. I did a partial water change thinking it might be because of the water.. I did not add any conditioner or anything I just made sure the water temperature match but even after that the fins look dull and at a distance its like I can’t even see the fins.. they have black lines on the tail and fin.. but he is active and has a good appetite but I’m worried about what that color difference on his fins might be.. could you please help me out with it..
Hi Pooja,
Your not using any conditioner for water. Ideally you must use the Water Conditioner for Aquarium. As Water may contain chlorine or metals which absolutely harm Flowerhorn.
Change in color or black mark is because of that. If this increase than Flowerhorn may loose his activeness and appetite too.
Also you mention transplant fin – is also because you not see fish clearly because dust in water. Get Filter for this.
I suggest you to buy two medicine –
- Ocean Free Gill Fungus Parasite Special
- Ocean Free Anti Chlorine
You can explore my personal store for same – https://www.payumoney.com/store/buy/yashwantshankarnaik
