siir i bAsically wanted to two tings *

1. i have bought a flowerhorn first time in my life.my first fish ,itseems its a shortbody fish so i heard its lifespan is very less . after hearing that i really felt very bad , i just wanted to know is that really true ,im really very much worried ,what measures can i take for a lonnger life 
2. presently i have my flower horn in norrmal 9*18 inch tank ,i cant gv him a bigger tank bcos my house is not that spacious but probably i can keep him in 2 feet tank , so can u please suggest me wht is the minimum size of a flower horn tank 
3. i feed him chickens heart wchich is boiled for about 10 minutes in water where my friend told that gud for proteins 
4. im afraid of feeding him live fish bcos of parasites (can i feed him is there any kind of problem??????
